Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers should all work out of the box when connected via USB. They use the xpad kernel driver.
Xbox Elite/Elite V2 controllers will need the Xone DKMS kernel module driver. You can install this driver using the Nobara Driver Manager.
Xbox wireless adapters require the Xone DKMS kernel module driver. You can install this driver using the Nobara Driver Manager.
Xbox controllers which connect via Bluetooth should all work out of the box when connected via Bluetooth. They use the xpadneo kernel driver. This driver is normally provided as a DKMS kernel module driver, however on Nobara we have patched the driver directly into the kernel instead.
It is strongly recommended and almost always required to update the firmware on your xbox controller on Windows, before attempting to use it with Nobara. Not doing so can cause erratic behavior or failure over bluetooth.
There is no Linux utility available for updating Xbox controller firmware, it must be done on Windows.
